Biography

Victoria feels grateful and motivated to work with dynamics of all types such as individuals, couples and families. Victoria strives to maintain a strengths based mindset while meeting clients where they’re at when identifying behaviors, thought patterns, and/or symptoms that her clients may find bothersome. Victoria wants clients to know that they are both working toward the same therapeutic goal of improving her clients overall quality of life. Victoria likes to offer a space that feels welcoming, non-judgemental and safe.

Clinical Interests

Much of Victoria’s experience has been working with adults who have experienced serious and persistent mental illnesses, but recently she has had some practice with children who are learning to manage their trauma history along with the navigation of a recent mental health diagnosis. Victoria’s focus has been on managing many different symptoms including but not limited to anger, anxiety related symptoms, depressive symptoms, overstimulation, dissociation, and trauma responses. She also really enjoys working with individuals learning to navigate family dynamics, conflict resolution and life transitions.

Clinical Approach

Victoria collaborates with her clients to identify ways productive care can be applied. While working to obtain a therapeutic relationship, Victoria will utilize a strengths based approach to help you identify tangible treatment related goals while offering a safe and supportive environment. Victoria appreciates using cognitive behavioral therapy techniques, task centered practices and solution-focused therapy.

Hobbies

Victoria has a close relationship with her family and friends and enjoys spending a lot of her free time doing her hobbies with them. Her hobbies include reading thriller and romance novels, playing cribbage, watching true crime or horror shows/movies, finding and trying new restaurants, and traveling to anywhere with mountains.
