Biography
I became a Social Worker because I believe we all have a story, we have all experienced things in our lives that have derailed us, set us back or just made us feel really bad about ourselves. As a mother of three, this is something I understand all too well.
Clinical Interests
My passion is working with adolescents and young adults. Specifically, helping individuals process and navigate trauma, people with disabilities, and autistic people ranging from ages 12 to 21. I also really enjoy supporting individuals who experience symptoms of depression, anxiety, ASD, ADHD, Borderline Personality Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, and more.
Clinical Approach
When working with me, you will find that I am extremely caring and compassionate. You can expect me to be down to earth and non-judgmental. I like to look at the therapeutic goals that we make together to see if we are reaching and obtaining those goals and what could be getting in the way of meeting those goals. I think you are the expert in your life and on your journey and as a result, I will ask you for feedback on how things are going within the therapeutic relationship. There may be different tools I use such as optional “homework” and various assessments.
I will work endlessly to provide you with a space and a relationship with non-judgment to ensure that you can explore and talk about your entire identity, what you are currently experiencing, things you have experienced in the past and more. I work hard to build genuine trusting relationships with others, and always want the best for them.
Hobbies
My relationships hold a very high value in my life and because of this I spend the majority of my free time with my friends and family. I also enjoy playing games, listening to music, going for walks and hikes, and spending time out of town camping or in a cabin.
